Biography
Allen Jr. married second to Mary "Polly" Hughey Lard on 9 April 1839 in Amite County, MS. One possible son: Thomas Jefferson Spurlock. Some researchers believe he also had a daughter Mary Jane Spurlock, born 1845, who is listed on school records. [1]
When Thomas J. Spurlock petitioned for his brother's letters of admin for his estate, he stated that Allen Jr. died on or about 23 Jan 1849 and that he did not have a widow. Also that all children were minors but they are not listed.
