He served the United States Army during World War II. He enlisted as a Private on November 17, 1942 at Fort Mcpherson in Atlanta, Georgia.^[1]

He married Willie L. Unknown. Their children were:

He died, at the age of 68, on June 27, 1967 in DeKalb County, Georgia^[2]. He is buried at the Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia.^[3][4]
