| Maria (Hugo) Joubert was part of the settlement of the Dutch Cape Colony. Join: Cape of Good Hope - Kaap de Goede Hoop (1652-1806) Project Discuss: dutch_cape_colony |
Maria was born in 1740. Maria Hugo ... She passed away about 1781. [1]
When she married Josua Joubert, the couple most likely lived at the farm of Zeekoegat along the Hexrivier. In 1761, they sold it to her Buffelskraal Hugo family, for her brother Daniel to farm on. This suggests that they may have already moved to a farm in the Drakenstein area, where her husband came from.
