Hi Heather, thank you for creating the Buyck Name Study. I awarded you the project badge and set up your category, tag and redirect so other members can find your project in a search.
Please add one_name_studies to your list of followed tags so you can follow our project discussion in G2G.
For instructions on how to get started and suggestions for getting the most out of your study, see: One Name Study
For more information, contact Doug or Alison with any questions. We are happy to help! ;-)
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.
Wow!!! You're the 133rd Huhn to join Wikitree! I'm just betting there are some 'cousins' already profiled who can benefit from your insightful collaboration, sourced research and first-hand knowledge.
Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.
If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
The initial email from us has helpful links that get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
When you confirm your email address, youll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project Volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Welcome to the Family, were really glad youre here.
I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. That's awesome. Our GEDCOM process is a bit different than what might be used to on other sites. We have some great help pages to make your experience go more smoothly:
Our DNA Features page will explain how we use DNA on Wikitree.
We also have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening. To check it out, use the Find menu on the top right of your profile page, select Projects from the drop-down menu, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you. Feel free to contact any of the members if you would like to join the project or get more information.

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Michelle ~ WikiTree Mentor
Thank you for signing the Honor code. Collaboration, accurate information and good sources are the basis for a great WikiTree.
