Amelia (Hulin) Taylor was born in Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England.

In 1841 Amelia and Nerah Hulin were Female Servants in the household of William Peel in St Briavels. [2]
On 10 June 1843 Amelia married William Taylor in St Briavels. William was a Blacksmith as was his father William. Amelia's father Orpheus was a Mason. [3]
