Despite numerous secondary resources including family traditions and printed genealogies, there are no original documents to support a maiden name of the wife of Moses Hull and the mother of Daniel Hull. Despite numerous secondary resources including family traditions and printed genealogies, there are no original documents to support a maiden name of Elizabeth, the wife of Daniel Hull.

Daniel was born in 1797. He died after the 1860 census. Daniel and Elizabeth resided with son Elijah Hull in Johnson County, Texas in 1860. Elizabeth resides with son Elijah Hull in Carroll County, Arkansas in 1870. His brother David Hull resided in Yell County, Arkansas in 1870.

1797 Daniel Hull was born about 1797.
1816 January, Daniel Hull joined Clear Fork Baptist Church Cumberland (now Clinton) Co., KY.[1]
1820 Daniel resided in Paoli, Cumberland Co., KY. He and wife were age 16-25 with one son under 10. Residing nearby: Moses Hull (over age 45, household of 11 people) and Henry Hull family (with the same age brackets as Daniel's family)[2][3] In a different section of the county were Jesse and William Hull.
1830 Daniel resided in Fentress Co., TN. He was age 30-39, wife age 20-29; one male and female 5-9 and one female under 5. Residing nearby: Moses Hull (age 50-59, household of 10 people).[4]
1850 Daniel resided in Morgan Co., IL. Daniel Hull 72 (should have been 52) born in VA, Elizabeth 50 VA, (granddaughter) Martha Crouch 1 IL (granddaughter, daughter of deceased Sarah Hull and Elijah Crouch).[5]
1854 1 Jul: Vincent Story (brother of the wife of Daniel's brother Isaac) was issued a bounty land warrant which he assigned to Daniel Hull. The land was 40 acres in Morgan Co., IL.[6][7]
1856 26 Aug: Daniel Hull applied for a tract of land on the waters of the Brazos in a part of Johnson County (that became part of Hood County in 1865).[8]
1857 March: Daniel Hull and neighbors filed claim letters with the state of Texas for the land where they resided.[9] Claim letter in the file from the Texas General Land Office states: We do each of us solemnly swear that Daniel Hull was a settler on the land claimed by him as a pre-emption the 26th day of Aug, A.D. 1856 and has continued to reside on the same up to this date, This the 20th day of March A.D. 1857 and signed by Daniel Hull James McCoy and Samuel (his mark) Vanover. This file also contains the Field Notes of a Survey of 86 Acres of Land in Johnson County on the Waters of the Brazos River.[10] Daniel's land was to the east of the land tract of his son Elijah C Hull and to the west of the land tract of his brother David Hull.[11]
1860 Daniel resided in the household of his son Elijah in Comanche Peak, Johnson Co., TX. E C Hull 40 (born in KY), Mary J 30, Jessee 14, Julia A 12, John A 9, Daniel 7, Melinda 4, Lucinda 2, Drucilla 3/12, Martha A Crouch 11, Daniel Hull 63 (born in NC), Elizabeth 59 (born in TN). Also in this section of the county were Daniel's daughter Julia residing with her husband Elijah B Crouch and her Fanning and Crouch children; Daniel's brother David Hull with wife Sarah and children; David's son Saml S Hull with wife Rebecca J and son Isaac D. Also nearby were Daniel's son Jesse J Hull and wife Mary A (daughter of David). Another neighbor was James M Hull residing with wife Ruth and their children.[12]
1870 Daniel probably died before the 1870 census. Elijah C Hull resided in Carroll Co., Arkansas. Elizabeth (age 68) is in the household of Elijah but without Daniel.[13]
