Biography
Sarah Hull was born on January 3, 1808 in Kentucky to Richard Hull and Nancy Ann Stockstill Hull. [1]
She married Benjamin Hammock in 1823.[2]
An 1850 Perry County, Illinois census shows Sarah age 42 living with her husband Benjamin Hammock (49) and their children: Elizabeth C Hammock 26, Amanda Hammock 23, Zebadec Hammock 13, Nancy J Hammock 10, Thomas Hammock 7, and Beny F Hammock 1. It also shows Sarah being born in Kentucky. [3]
An 1860 Perry County, Illinois census shows Sarah age 52 living with her husband Benjamin Hammock (59) and their children: Elizabeth C Hamock 36, Amanda E Hamock 33, Nancy J Hamock 20, Thomas Hamock 17, Benj F Hamock 10, James L Hamock 6, also David Taylor 20, Edward Q Daily. [4]
An 1870 Perry County, Illinois census shows Sarah age 62 living with her husband Benjamin Hammock (69) and their children: Elizabeth Hammock 26, Nancy J Hammock 30, Benj F Hammock 20, and William Hammock 41.[5]
An 1870 Perry County, Illinois census shows Sarah age 72 living with her children: Elizabeth C. Hammock 46, Thomas H. Hammock.[6]
Sarah died in 1891 in Perry County, Illinois. [7]
