Research Notes

Is there any documentation supporting the name William Henry Harrison Hull? Is there any documentation of a middle name Harrison for Henry Hull? There is no mention of a middle name in the two sets of Bible records that were described in the 2003 article. [1]

Some researchers have suggested that he was the son of Jemima (Wellman) and George Hull of Connecticut; but DNA has disproven this theory. Geography and published Connecticut records also makes the connection impossible. The births of several children and the death of one child of Jemima and George Hull were documented in the records of Killingworth, Connecticut. This shows that George and Jemima Wellman resided in Connecticut in 1783, 1786, 1788 and 1790.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Henry by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Henry:

The research notes address the fact that there is no documented source that confirms Harrison as a middle name for Henry Hull. Would it be possible/better to remove the middle name from the profile itself, but still list it as a possibility in the research notes?

Thanks Lindy. I took the middle name off. Good idea.

Henry is not a son of George Hull and Jemima Wellman. Some researchers have suggested that Henry Hull was the son of Jemima (Wellman) and George Hull of Connecticut; but DNA and geography and records have disproven this theory.
Hull-3565 and Hull-2143 appear to represent the same person because: I got your message but I am NOT disputing your dna or even discussing it. If you disagree with something further back in your ancestry, you need to bring those points up on the older profiles.

I am writing about this profile. You can look up the FAQ to confirm that wikitree policy states that each individual can have only ONE profile.

In this case the names and dates and spouses are all the same, so the duplicate profiles need to be merged. Thank you for your co-operation with wikitree policy.

Hull-3565 and Hull-2143 do not represent the same person because: 1) I know of NO verified middle name for Henry.

2) My DNA test proves that my Henry does NOT descend from George Hull who married Jemima Wellman Hull.
