Cornelius Hull was born October 31, 1723 at Durham, Middlesex, Connecticut; the 2nd son of that name born to Cornelius Hull, Sr. and his wife Mehitable (Graves) Hull. In his father's will, Cornelius is given 1/3 of the estate which included in totality, 7 separate tracts of land, 2 dwellings, a cider mill, cattle, horses, swine, oats, wheat, rye, corn, tobacco, farming utensils and household goods.
On January 1, 1746 he married Abigail Chipman at Durham.
However, The Hull Family in America, page 38, says that he married Abigail ChApman, not ChIpman. But, the birth, death and burial records for Joseph Chipman (Abigail's father) show the surname as "Chipman".
