Biography

William Hull was born about 1536.[1] There is no record of his birth in the Crewkerne parish registers, but this was before the practice of keeping parish registers had become common in England.

He was the son of Richard Hull and his first wife name unknown.[1] He is mentioned in the will that his father made on 10 February 1559: “To Sir William Hull my son a fether bed and many household goods [enumerated].”[1]

William was a clergyman.[1] In sixteenth century England it was common to give priests and clergymen the title Sir as was the case for William in the quote from his father's will above.[1][2][3]

William Hull died sometime after he was mentioned in his father's will which was written on 10 February 1559.[1]
