David H. Hull was born on 2 Sep 1880 in Wytheville, Virginia (per county death record).

David H. Hull and Annie E. (Louisiana Elizabeth) Hagy were married 11 Dec 1901 in Washington County, Virginia. The county marriage record stated that David H. Hull, age 21, was born in Wythe County, Virginia and was the son of J. C. and Amelia J. Hull. The record also states that Annie E. Hagy, age 19, was born in Washington County, Virginia and was the daughter of W. D. and Mary E. Hagy.[1]

The Tennessee death record states that David H. Hull was born on 2 Sep 1880 in Wytheville, Virginia and was the son of Rolland and Amelia Hull. This death record states that he died 19 May 1918 in Bristol, Sullivan County, Tennessee and that he was buried in East Hill Cemetery on 21 May 1918.[2]

David H. Hull was buried in East Hill Cemetery, Bristol, Sullivan County, Tennessee. The tombstone says: David H. Hull, Sept 2 1881, May 19 1918.[3]

Notes and Clues

Who were the parents of David H. Hull? The marriage record for David Hull stated that his parents were J. C. and Amelia J. Hull. The death record for David Hull stated that his parents were Rolland and Amelia Hull.

Bristol, Sullivan County, Tennessee and Bristol, Virginia (an independenat city in Virginia), are twin cities. The state line runs down the middle of State Street in their common downtown district. Bristol, Virginia is adjacent to Washington County, Virginia.[4]

Buried in plot 2-A of East Hill Cemetery are David H. Hull (1881-1918), Elizabeth H. Hull (1883-1931) and their son Buell Clarborne Hull (1906-1971).

East Hill Cemetery is also known as Bristol City Cemetery. A note about the cemetery on findagrave states: "A portion of East Hill Cemetery extends accross the state border in Virginia. The cemetery caretaker confirms a Tennessee address."[5]

Another findagrave entry is puzzling. There is a findagrave entry (with no tombstone picture) that states that David Harvey Hull was born on 2 Sep 1880 in Wythe County, Viriginia, he died in Bristol, Sullivan County, Tennessee and he was buried in East End Cemetery, Wytheville, Wythe County, Virginia.

Notes
