I think your James Andrew & my James Alexander Neal are probably related too. Maybe they shared a grandfather or gr-grand. I’ll keep an eye out for any "James Andrew"s I run across. I haven’t found my James’s grandfather yet. His Dad John Henry Neal is from Virginia (see http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Neal-865). Maybe a brother or uncle of John’s went to NC while he went to TN.

Cousin's maybe. Since Wm. Neal is the father of James Andrew, John Neal, Jr. would not be Wm.'s son. I am working currently to figure it out.

aha! I got confused (marriage to James Neal, when John Neal's mentioned in profile). It looks like Mary married her step-brother.
