Tried to find sources, checked birth records in Wales and found none with the parents mentioned here. There were a number of Morris Humphreys in Wales but none with a close match to birth year and location. It's also doubtful he passed away in Montana, which didn't have its first settlements until about the 1860s, and he would have been an old man during the earlier exploration.
