Biography

Samuel Humphreys was born about 1777 in Greenbrier, Virginia, the son of Samuel Humphreys Sr., (age 37) and Griselda "Grizzell" Donaldson Cavett (age 26.) He married Mary McLaughlin on 2 January 1810, in Monroe County, Virginia.[1] This was in all probability his second marriage.

Samuel is thought to have died in 1855, in Monroe at about the age of 79.
