Biography

Benjamin Franklin Humphries (aka "Humphreys") was born in 1836 in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, USA.

Benjamin (aka "Nash") Humphries fought in the US Civil War as a private in Company A, 8th Louisiana Calvary, Confederate States Army. He was a POW, and was released on June 13, 1865, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

His wife was Mary (Nugent) Humphries, b: 1841 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana, USA. They had 8 children.

He was the father of Cornelius Humphries, b: 1867 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana, USA.

Benjamin moved back to Grant Parish afterwards and passed away there in 1902. He was buried at Holum Cemetery, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, USA. His wife,
