Both tests indicate we are 4th+ cousins, but really we are triple cousins through 3 different MCRAs: William Humphries; William Darwin and his wife, Jane Bland Darwin; and James Petty Sr and his wife, Martha Clanton Petty
- Paternal relationship is confirmed by a triangulated group on GEDmatch who share a 43.6 cM segment on chromosome 9, consisting of Alice (Batchelor) Hambright, GEDmatch kit # A531774, and Yvonne (McCowan) Gammell, half her 5th cousin 1x removed, GEDmatch kit # M436149, and Maurice Allison, half her 5th cousin 1x removed, GEDmatch kit # M363052. (Yvonne and Maurice are 4th cousins.) Their most-recent common ancestor is William Humphries, the 4x great grandfather of Alice (Batchelor) Hambright and 5x great grandfather of both Yvonne (McCowan) Gammell and Maurice Allison.
