Biography

Marmaduke Hunkin was born on 18 December 1879 in Guernsey, Channel Islands, son of Thomas Henry Hunkin (1844– ) and Ann Elizabeth Robin (~1848–1907).

His siblings were:

  1. Gertrude Lewis Hunkin (8 August 1872 – unknown)
  2. Daisy Isabel Hunkin (20 July 1873 – unknown)
  3. Clifford Hunkin (18 April 1875 – 8 February 1876)
  4. Gerald Hunkin (7 September 1876 – 15 March 1878)
  5. Reginald Frederick Hunkin (21 May 1878 – 2 January 1948)
  6. Percy Hunkin (4 December 1880 – 1901)

Marmaduke died in 1940 in Guernsey, aged 60. He was buried in St Michel Du Valle Cemetery, Vale, Guernsey.

Marmaduke (25) married Elsie Grut (24) (born on 7 May 1881 in Guernsey) on 30 August 1905 in Guernsey. Their known children were:
