Biography

John was born in 1866 in Kentucky. (Was listed as 27 in 1893 when daughter Stella was born also his full name was spelt on her birth certificate.) On 1900 census page John Hunt is with wife Nancy (Blount) and daughter Stella. Stella was born in Carlisle, Nicholas County, Kentucky. Also the household next to John Hunt is Thomas M Gray, and second wife Mary A (Hunt) with a Willie Hunt. Have not located the Willie Hunt yet.

Mary Ann Hunt 1849-1931(Hunt-11111) was born to John R Hunt and Jane Campbell in Kentucky. Mary Ann Hunt was married in 1877 in Brown County, Ohio.

Son Ray Hunt was born in Woodward, Oklahoma in 1901, soon after that John Hunt, Nancy, Stella, and Ray moved to Blackwell, Kay, Oklahoma. About when Stella was 16 her dad left Blackwell, Kay, Oklahoma. There was a postcard sent he was traveling to Kansas where he took a picture at a grave of J S Butts. Unable to find this John Hunt prior to 1900 census or after 1908. On 1900 census father born in Kentucky and mother born in Ohio.

Update: Found John Edward Hunt born about 1869 living in Clark County, Washington in 1960 where he has death certificate with Louis W Hunt as father, and Mary Magee as mother. Louis William Hunt and Mary Jane Mcgee were married Brown County, Ohio in September 1864, same month as their marriage in 1864, he enlisted in the military in Maysville, Kentucky. Maysville and Brown County, Ohio are connected by ferry as early as 1799 on the river for easy transportation between the towns.

John E Hunt married in Jackson, Missouri to Ida May Baker on 20 Apr 1910. By 1914 they were in Portland, Oregon listed on city directories. Cremated 1960 at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum and Crematory, in Portland Oregon.
