Biography

Jonathan was born into the New Garden Monthly Meeting community of Quakers in Guilford County, North Carolina.

Sources

Birth date confirmed by U.S. Quaker Meeting Records 1681-1935. Birth date also listed in U.S. Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, Vol. I-IV, 1607-1943, p. 164. Death is listed in U.S. Hinshaw Index to Selected Quaker Records. Dublin was the Monthly Meeting he attended at time of his death.

1820 census he lived in Wayne Co., IN; 1830 census he lived in Washington Twp, Wayne Co., IN; in 1840 he also lived in Washington Twp., Wayne Co., IN.
