Lpool Advance June 20 1906: Northern District Items: Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary - On May 26th the home of Mr and Mrs Richard Hunt was the scene of a happy home gathering when the children and grandchildren met to spend the day at the "old home" and celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding. After spending a day never to be forgotten, the children - R.L. Hunt and wife; Dr JW Smith and wife, and Byron Kempton and wife, returned to their respective homes, and Miss Olivia Hunt returned to Liverpool with her sister, leaving the old folks to think of their happy hours and years that had passed al too quickly - (Gold Hunter)

Lpool Advance May 29 1912: Wedding Anniversary: On May 29th, Mr Richard Hunt, ex-MPP for Queens Co., and Mrs Hunt celebrate at their home, South Brookfield, the 56th year of their wedding anniversary. Perhaps few can say with Mr Hunt that he has a sister, Mrs Andris Shaffner, now living with her husband at West Port, Digby Co, who have celebrated their 58th wedding day. At that wedding, 58 years ago, Mr Hunt supported the Groom, and Miss Anna Harlow, cousin of the Hunt Family, now Mrs B.L. Telfer, living at Caledonia, attended as Bridesmaid. A brother, Mr Thomas Hunt, living with his wife at South Brookfield, have passed 55 years of wedded life together. Another brother, James B Hunt, living with his wife at Caledonia, have spent 54 years of wedded life together. Eldred Hunt, the youngest brother, died when 62 years of age. The combined ages of the four living are 314 years and 2 months. The Mother (nee Olivia Smith) of this family was a descendant of the Plymouth Pilgrims. She died at the age of 32, leaving five small children. The father, Ephraim Hunt, a descendant of old English stock, lived to see 84 years. Please let us hear from some other families if they have a record of years equal to this one.

Lpool Advance Sept 15 1915; OBIT: The death last Wednesday, of Richard Hunt, Esquire, of South Brookfield, removes one of the most prominent men of this county from the community of which he was long a leading and respected member. Ricchard Hunt was known throughout Queens as a man of sterling integrity and upright manliness. A Liberal in politics, he occupied aprominent place in the confidence and councils of the party, yet never manifested any of the bitterness which too often appears in one recognized as a party man. In his business and social relations, Mr. Hunt occupied an anviable position, while the confidence reposed in him by his fellow-electors was proven by decisive majority to represent his native county in the Provinvial legislature, a confidence that was fully justified by his course as a Representative. He leaves to mourn the loss of a loving and indulgent husband and father, his widow, and three daughters - Olivia, at home, Esther, wife of Byron Kempton, of Caledonia, and Alma, wife of Dr. J.W. Smith, M.L.A, of this town. Same issue: Deaths: At South Brookfield, Sept. 8th, Richard Hunt, aged 82 years and 9 months.
