Aubrey was born in 1842. He was the second youngest son of Charles Hunt and Maria Bellendon Pfeilitzer. He passed away in 1903. He (and the youngest brother Percy Chester Hunt) was born in Tandragee, while his father Charles served as Resident Magistrate for Ballymena (one of several terms throughout Ireland)
In his adult life, he began a career as a banker in Dublin and was manager in Cork where his eldest Alice Louisa Bellendon Hunt (1872) was born, Cashel during the birth of his sons, George Pfeilitzer Hunt (1874) and Aubrey de Vere Hunt (1875), Castlecomer where Lance Corporal Leslie Maunsel Hunt (1878) was born and Ennistymon according to the 1901 census, which appears to have been his last posting before passing away in 1903, while residing on 10 Victoria Terrace, Clontarf, Dublin. His oldest daughter never married, was living with her mom and dad in 1901. Aunt Alcie (to distinguish from another aunt Alice) passed down considerable family history).
