Biography

John was born about 1787, probably around Euxton, Lancashire. [1]

He married Mary Platt of Euxton (in the Parish of Leyland) on 15 Nov 1808 at St Andrew's, Leyland. [2]

According to his daughter's (Elizabeth) birth record, John was a book-keeper. [3]

The FamilySearch record referenced above is shown to be held under the County Cheshire. It is noted that the area between the Ribble and the Mersey was at that time part of Cheshire but is now referred to as Lancashire.
