Research Notes

Currently am awaiting a transcription from the NSW BDM

From Geni: "She seems to have been unlucky with her husbands two died within a few years of marrying her.

Emma was married at least four times, two in SA and two in NSW. When she married James Taylor, her maiden name was listed as "Edwards". Have not located a Woodruff-Edwards marriage, perhaps she is not Emma Ellen Hunt but rather two different people.

No death record for Emma Woodruff has been found.

Emma was born in 1853. She was the daughter of John Mitchell Hunt and Margaret Rees.[3]

Emma married William Laird in 1872.[4] William died in 1874.

In 1876 Emma married Charles Woodruff.[5] Charles died in 1878.

She passed away in 1930.[6][7]
