More information may be found at his Find A Grave: Memorial #119620734, Moses Hunt (29 Mar 1771–1840), citing Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, Simpson County, Kentucky, USA ; Maintained by Anna Schultheis Bertram (contributor 47006901) . Notes on profile on FindAGrave.org from William M. Hunt of Fairport, New York, a pioneer genealogist for the Hunt family in America: "Moses and Susannah are buried in an old cemetery across the Martinsville Road from Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Eastern Simpson Co., KY. Their graves are unmarked."

DNA

The DNA for this family can be found in the Hunt DNA Group Project. R-M269, Group 147, The Hunt 14. At this time there is no connection between this family and any other family in the DNA Group Project. The closest family groups are a minimum of 4GD at 37 Markers.

Research Notes

This appears to be two different families mis-attributions. The family of Dr. Thomas Hunt of Bedford County, Virginia who married and Ann (presumably Henson) has been incorrectly connected to the Family of Thomas Elwwod Hunt of Westchester, NY. The DNA of Thomas Elwood's descendants do not match the Dr. Thomas Hunt of Virginia Genetically.

The name Elwood has not been associated with Dr. Thomas hunt of Bedford County Virginia, nor has the last name of his wife Anne been associated with the name Mattingly. If there is documentary evidence of this name for Ann it would smash down a brick wall which has eluded researchers for centuries! Please post if there is anything.

Please see the Origins of the "Hunt 14", the children of Dr. Thomas Hunt of Bedford County, Virginia.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Moses by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Moses:
