The Hon. John Hunt, member of the Legislature from Polk county, died at Jefferson City on the 25th ult. Springfield Advertiser, March 9, 1847[1] . . . He was elected to the State Legislature and died while attending the session in Jefferson City and is buried in the State plot, having died the 27th of March [sic] 1847. Huntsville Daily Times, August 8, 1926[2]
