Biography

From Family Search: Henry was born in Nansemond, Virginia, British Colonial America in 1744. He passed away in Sumner, Tennessee in 1829 and is buried at Cage's Bend, Sumner, Tennessee.

A private source provided the following information: The Sumner County and Wilson County HUNTS came from Franklin County, NC.

Will of THOMAS HUNT - WB A, September 27, 1790, proved March Court, 1791. p. 12, Bradley's abstracts: (1) grandson, LITTLEBERRY HUNT (2) grandson, HARBERT HUNT (3) grandson, JOSIAH MASSEY (4) son, JOHN HUNT (5) daughter, SARAH HUNT (6) extrs, sons HENRY HUNT and HARDY HUNT and JOHN HUNT witnesses JOHN GREEN, HINES HILSMAN

HENRY and HARDY HUNT married daughters of JOHN and MARY TAYLOR, also of Franklin Co., NC., as did JESSE WEBB, WILLIAM POWELL AND WILLIAM BABB (these two married RUTH TAYLOR), and MITCHELL.

The MITCHELLS went to Sumner Co and some spilled over into Wilson.
