Ezekiel Hunt was born July 15, 1710, the son of William Hunt and Sarah Newman. He first married Susanna Berry, intentions 15 April 1732. They had four children, born in Ipswich:
Ezekiel Hunt, born 6 Apr 1735
Susanna Hunt, born 17 Oct 1736

Ezekiel Hunt. listed as an Ipswich glazier, was brought to court for killing his wife Susanna on 8 September 1742 by repeatedly striking her on the head and eye with his fist, and she died in minutes. The Supreme Judicial Court found him guilty of homicide, and sentenced him to a year in jail from November 1742 to November 1743.
Released from jail, he married second the widow Elizabeth Hodgkins on March 8, 1744.
NOTE: I have been unable to determine her maiden name or former husband. It could have been John Hodgkins, who married an Elizabeth Hovey in 1738, but I have found no death record for him.
Ezekiel and Elizabeth Hunt had three children, born in Ipswich:
Joseph Hunt, born 1744 (baptized 9 Sep 1753, "aged 10")
Isaac Hunt, born 1746 (baptized 9 Sep 1753, twin, "aged 7")
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ezekiel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Ezekiel:
