Biography
George Hunt was the son of William Hunt and Ann Hutchings, was born 6 Aug 1859[1] in Hensington, Bladon, Oxfordshire and was baptised 28 Aug 1859 St Martin, Bladon Oxfordshire[2]. He married Martha Jane Hitchens 3 Jul 1883 at the Lichfield Registry Office[3]. He died 25 Jun 1949 Gentleshaw [4] and was buried at Christchurch Gentleshaw 28 Jun 1949.[5]

Census 1871 - George was living 6 Park Street Bladon, Oxfordshire age 11 born Hensington, with his parents and siblings. His occupation was agricultural labourer.[6]
Census 1881 - George Hunt was living in Gentleshaw, Staffordshire age 20 born Bladon, Oxfordshire, collier, lodger.[7]
Census 1901 - George was living Gentleshaw, Staffordshire age 40, born Bladon coal miner, living with his wife and children. [8]
Census 1911 - George was living Gentleshaw, Staffordshire age 50, born Bladon colliery check weighman, living with his wife and children.[9]
