When George Calvin Hunter was born on January 27, 1898,^[1] in Seven Mile, Ohio, his father, Arthur, was 29 and his mother, Mary, was 24.^[2] He married Sarah Caroline 'Carrie' Brelsford on December 30, 1920, in Butler, Ohio.^[3] He died on April 3, 1979,^[4] in Dayton, Ohio,^[5] at the age of 81, and was buried in Hamilton, Ohio.^[6]
