Research Notes

  • Original birth date of 17 Apr 1745 is unsourced. Using date of 1758 based on her being at least 18 on her marriage to Edgecomb Guilliams.
  • Original birth place listed as Parkersburg, Franklin, Colony of Virginia. As far as I know, there is no Parkersburg in Franklin County, Virginia. Parkersburg in in what is now Woods County, West Virginia. Woods County was created 21 December 1798 from Harrison County. Thomas Benton Hunter who was born in 1849 in Ohio is part of my Dad's side of the family. He was married to Eliza Brock who died in a buggy accident in Jennings Kansas. Thomas died in Oskalossa Kansas. They had four children Thomas Wesly, Ada, Carrie, and my Grandmother Lucy who married a Jepson. It is important to find this info because my Dad is turning 90 and there will never be info from his Dad's side, he came from Denmark and gave them almost nothing on family. Thanks so much
