Chris - I made an attempt at adding sources to Jeanette "Netty" Sophia Hasty using <ref> in the biography but it did not work as I expected. Can you check it and let me know what I did wrong??? Thanks.

Chris

You sent a merge request to merge Jeanette Sophia Hasty and Nettie Sophia King. These look to be the same persons. Nettie is probably nick name for Jeanette. I have my tree on ancestry. The parents and siblings are virtually the same. Don't know if I show her marriage. She married John Austin King 8 Nov 1887 at Rock Creek Precinct, Nebraska, USA, Marriage County Office: Jefferson. Her birth Info came from an ancestry family tree and death from find-a-grave. I approve the merge from my email. I did not edit the biography but does need editing. If needed, can sent you sources and marriage info.

Hi Chris,

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a while now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To been helpful, or left you with any questions?

Thanks for adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need. Let me know if you have questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, or interpret the Suggestions report.

Welcome! You are now a Family Member and can add your family to our global tree.

Start with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles. Check out Find -> Projects to learn of group projects like United States. Also try clicking your research tags to find other members following those names or topics.

Thank you for adding your DNA test info to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

We are so happy to have you here in the WikiTree community. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!

I am not certain this profile matches an actual person. I have some family documentation, but nothing concrete. This is a place holder until I can either prove or disprove his existence.

Hi Chris, When editing a profile and adding information, make sure you add the source for that information. Also, adding Sr or Jr to a profile where the person never used the suffix is not suggested. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Name_Fields#Suffix

Hi Chris,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Hello Christopher, welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree! We're really glad you're here!

Marshall, a volunteer greeter
