Biography

Andrew Palmer junior and Elizabeth Hunter were first cousins (personal information from their granddaughter Ella Ineson Drasdo). Andrew Palmer senior's wife had the maiden name of Hunter (personal communication from her grandson Kennedy Hunter Palmer) so presumably the sister of Kennedy Hunter.[1]
Date of death - According to the letter of 1 Nov 1973, Jane's son Andrew had been sent to his room by her and ran away and joined the army. He enlisted at Liverpool, presumably straight off the boat, in August 1860 so Jane was still alive at this time.
