Biography

Middleton was born on August 2, 1892 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico to Rev. John Malcom and Marveira Ann (Boles) Hunter, the 15th of 16 children.

He first married Elizabeth Downing Mason on February 14, 1918 in Orleans, Louisiana. They had two children:

  • John Philip Hunter Peterson 1918-1995
  • Lorraine Elizabeth Hunter Held Dolan 1920-1959

He then married Lucille Edna Van Trojen on January 12, 1922 in King, Washington. They had five children:

  • Kenneth Wiliam Hunter 1922-2008
  • Wallace Irving Hunter 1924-2005
  • Mary Jane Hunter Roush 1926-1984
  • Dorothy Jean Hunter Martin 1932-2007
  • Patricia Ann Hunter Stevens 1937-1998

He passed away in Glendale, Arizona on December 29, 1978.
