Raymond was born on March 13, 1922 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. He was the son of Frank Hunter and Albena Duranso. Raymond served with the U.S. Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. He later was self- employed as a tool grinder in Saginaw until his retirement. No record of any marriage was found.
Raymond died on April 17, 2004 at the Grand Rapids Home For Veterans in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan atthe age of 82 years. He was buried at the Mount Olivet Cemetery located in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.
