Marian Elizabeth Hunter was born on 8 January 1870 at Forbes, in the colony of New South Wales, Australia. She was the daughter of William Hunter and Marion Twist.

Marian, spinster, aged 28, married Auguste Kircher, batchelor, aged 33, on 28 September 1898 at St Thomas' Church of England, North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was born in Germany, a store-keeper, living in Anne Street, Surry Hills. Auguste's father was Jacob Kircher, stone mason, and his mother Caroline Seidel. Marian was a house-maid, living at the Church of England Grammar School.

She died on 6 December 1949 at Marrickville, New South Wales, Australia.

KIRCHER, Marion Elizabeth.—December 6, 1949, of 22 Edgeware Road, Enmore, widow of the late August Kircher, and dearly loved mother of Godfrey and Donald, aged 79 years.
It is learned with regret that Padre G. W. Kircher's mother passed away in Marrickville Hospital, at the age of 84. Recently whilst gardening at her home she fell and broke her leg. The many friends of Padre Kircher and Mrs. Kircher extend their heart-felt sympathy in their bereavement .
