Henry Hunter died August 1826 and is buried at 'Hunter Cemetery', Speedwell, Tennessee. (Behind Davis Creek Baptist Church near the creek)[1] in a grave that is erroneously marked as that of Philip Ausmus. [2]
Henry Hunter was born about 1768. He passed away in about 1823 or 1826.

Research Notes
Per the Tennessee State Library and Archives website, Henry Hunter did not die in Speedwell, TN but somewhere between Georgia and his home. In the Tennessee Supreme Court Records (chancery court records) for Henry Hunter are the following quotes (see sources below for URL):
Pg. 47
"Your Respondent (Joseph Hunter, son of Henry Hunter) states that, sometime before the death of the intestate (Henry Hunter), he (Henry Hunter) traded to the Southern market, say the State of Georgia, as your Respondent believes he had become considerably indebted in said State of Georgia; in the summer before his death, he undertook to haul a load of Bacon to Augusta for one William Hogan, and died before he returned home: while upon this last trip, as your Respondent is informed he received some funds upon the sale of property, which will be more fully spoken of hereafter. The funeral expenses of the intestate were defrayed as he is informed by one, John Harris, who was with the intestate at the time of his death, out of the money on hand of intestate at the time of his death."
