Alison Lawson was born in 1819. Alison Lawson Hunter died in the district of Duddingston & Portobello, Midlothian in 1875, aged 56.^[1]

Bombay Times and Journal of Commerce, 30 Jun 1847: At the Colonial Chapel Hongkong by the Rev V Stauton on the morning of Wednesday the 5th May Andrew H Balfour Surgeon to Miss Alison L Hunter daughter of Mr Andrew Hunter of Edinburgh.

Buried at Grange Cemetery, Edinburgh

Inscription reads In memory of ALISON L. HUNTER, the beloved wife of A.H.
