James Montgomery Hunter was born on 10 Jun 1852 in Maysville, Mason, Kentucky, United States.

James married Anna Clarkeston Morgan (1858 - 1919) on 14 Jun 1892 in Maysville.^[1] In the 1900 census James (age 48) was the married head of household in Magisterial District 1, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States.^[2] In the 1910 census James (age 57) was the married head of household in Louisville Ward 7, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States.^[3] Anna died in 1919.

James married Annabelle I O'Mara (1871 - 1949)

James died on 19 Jun 1938 in Miami, Dade, Florida aged 86. He is buried in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky.^[4][5][6]
