Amos was the son of Thomas & Lucy (Hartland)


1821 8th June, Amos was christened/ baptised at UOS


1845 July 21st Amos & Mary Lewis marry in church of Redmarley (Wedding banns)The witnesses were William Lewis, Marys father & Caroline, Marys sister poss


1851 census, Mary, a shoe binder, aged 25yrs, Amos,29yrs, a cordwainer, were living at Cromers Green Pendock with Ellen aged 6yrs 1851 living at Cromers Green Pendock with Ellen, occupation Cordwainer


1861 census Mary, aged 34yrs living at Brook Cottage With Ellen, Elizabeth, George, Thomas & Thomas Lewis lodger 1861 census living at Brook Cottage With Ellen, Elizabeth, George E, Thomas & Thomas Lewis lodger & cordwainer


1871c Mary,a bookbinder & aged 44yrs, Amos,a cordwainer 52yrs, living at Cromers Green Pendock with Thomas, Charles , William and Enos? 1871 Amos, a cordwainer, living at Cromers Green Pendock with Mary, Thomas, Charles , William and E? (Enoch)

1888 Amos died after drowning in the river Severn after leaving home on April 23rd aged 67yrs. The inquest was held the Globe Inn, Sandhurst and he was buried at Pendock on 13th May. Local records indicate that due to heavy rainfalll, the area was flooded. Amos was buried on 13th May.

1891 census shows widowed Mary, 64yrs and son William, 25yrs are living at Pendock Cross


1901: the widowed Mary, and son William are living at Cromer Green


1906 Mary died aged 81, living at Tewkesbury Union Workhouse
