Biography

Lydia Huntoon was a daughter of John Hunton Sr and Mary Rundlett.

Lydia married Jonathan Sleeper on November 4, 1740, in Kingston. [1] [2]They were the parents of nine children :

1. Hannah Sleeper, baptized March 8, 1740/1
2. Jonathan Sleeper, II, baptized November 3, 1742, married Hannah Dudley
3. Mehitable Sleeper Garland 1743-1821
4. Dorothy Sleeper, baptized October 12, 1746; died October 2, 1747
5. Dorothy Sleeper, baptized July 17,1748, married Edward Fifield and removed first to Salisbury, then Plainfield, Sullivan Co. NH, where she died 26 August 1827
6. Sanborn Sleeper, 1750/1-
7. Mary Sleeper Bean 1753- 1843
8. Lydia Sleeper, born November 13, 1755, perhaps in Plaistow, married Benjamin Pettengill, December 9, 1779 in Hawke. They lived in Salisbury, where she died February 10, 1830
9. Benjamin Sleeper 1758 - 1849
