Biography

Hannah Huntress (sometimes called Hannah Hunt) was born about 1692 in Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire to George Huntress and Mary Nott.[1]

She was married to Maturin Ricker in Strafford County, New Hampshire in 1713. Maturin was the son of George Ricker and Eleanor Evans. [1][2]

Hannah and her husband were baptized May 6, 1722 in Dover, New Hampshire by Reverend Jonathan Cushing.[3]

She had 12 children, all born in Dover: [1][4]

  4. Maturin, b 7/23/1719
  5. Richard, b 8/8/1721
  6. Bridget, b 5/23/1723

  9. Hannah, b 8/26/1729
  10. Samuel, b 5/20/1730
  11. Bildah, b 3/15/1734
  12. Mercy, b 3/31/1736

Hannah died in Dover, March 31, 1736 during the birth of her daughter.[4]
