Vera Hornsey Hurd was born in Leeds in 1907 [1] the second child of piano tuner, John Henry Hurd and his wife, Mary Hornsey. [2]
It was in Southampton that she married Otto Thomas Duncan, son of Frederick Duncan and his wife, Cassandra Schutz in 1931.[3] She died in 1995. [4]
