Biography

Elijah S. Hurst, son of John and Lydia Ann (Smith) Hurst, was born on 14 Feb. 1774 at Shenandoah County, Virginia.[1]

He married Mary “Polly” Lindsay, daughter of William Lindsay and Mary Beverly (Barksdale) Lindsay, on 9 Feb. 1789 in Greene County, Tennessee.[1]

Elijah died on 13 Sep. 1856 at Harrison County, Indiana and was buried at Hurst Cemetery, Crandall, Harrison County, Indiana. His memorial has links to those of family members. [1]
