Simon J. Husser Jr., son of Simon Husser and Emily O. (Galatas) Husser, was born on 9 Oct. 1924[1] at Louisiana, USA. His father died in 1929 and he appeared on the census of 8 July 1940 in the household of his mother at Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.[2]
He began military service inthe US Army on 23 Aug. 1944 and ended service on 23 Oct. 1946.[3]
He lived in 1969 at Husser, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. He died on 23 April 1970[1][3] at Veterans Administration Hospital, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA, at age 45 and was buried at St. Dominic Catholic Church Cemetery, 55720 Hwy 445, Husser, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.[4] His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with his wife and the inscription "Pfc, Co C 3119 Sig SVC BN WW II."[5][6]
