Biography

She was the daughter of Thomas Hussey and Mary Reilly.

At age 22 she arrived in Melbourne in January 1863 on the vessel Marco Polo from Liverpool with her older sister Margaret age 24. [1]

She married Cornelius Scannell in 1865 in Victoria.[2]

She passed away in 1909.[3][4]

Funeral notice lists her as Mrs Mary Rose Scannell relict of Cornelius Scannell.[5][6]

She was buried in Bulla Cemetery on 22/11/1909 plot RC 13. [7]

Note: the Cemetery records state she was the daughter of Cornelius Scannell and Mary Reilly. (?)-"correction submitted"
