Happy to entertain all theories if there's evidence. There are as yet no sources for Solomon. There are two sources for Moses, but neither name a son Solomon. It's possible though.
How do you know that Moses Husted ended up in Dutchess County though?
Comment from Alice Family Search Index of Deeds shows a Solomon Hustis acquiring land in Dutchess County in 1801. Moses Hustis acquired land in Dutchess County in 1809. Solomon Huestis grants land in Dutchess to "Moses S." in 1831.
