Walter Husted, youngest child of Charles and Susan (Seeley) Husted was born 6 Jan 1902 at Emporium, Cameron, Pennsylvania.[1][2] He married Cecilia Fields about 1922.[citation needed] By 1930 Walter and Cecilia had moved to Olean, New York[3] where he would spend the rest of his life. Walter worked for the railroad in various capacities and, like several of his brothers who worked for the railroad, he was also injured when in 1937 he fell off the top of a Pennsylvania Railroad box car at three o'clock in the morning sustaining a back injury requiring admittance to the Olean General Hospital.[4] Walter passed away 23 Jun 1989[1] and Cecilia in 1991.
