"Floyd was born in Oklahoma to Platt and Ida Huston. He was one of 6 children: Bessie, Roy, Floyd, Velma, Lester, and Loren. He went to Alberta with his family in 1912 and eventually settled in the Great Bend District. He met his future wife Nora Bonham there and they married in 1923. They had Burt, Bud, Vera, and Don. Grandpa Floyd was a farmer and a square dance caller. He died of heart failure dancing the Schottische." [1]
