Biography

William Richard Hutchings was born June 2, 1847, (in Tennessee or Virginia?) a son of Richard Hutchings, born 1811, in Robertson, Tennesee, who died January 12, 1886, in St Francois county, Missouri. [1] On August 3, 1870, in St Francois, Missouri, William married Mary C. Patterson, born October 9, 1852, in Missouri.

William Richard Hutchings died September 3, 1919, at the age of 72 years, in Springfield, Sangamon county, Illinois and is buried in the Oak Ridge Cemtery, there. [2]

Obituary

Richard William Hutchings died Wednesday, September 3, 1919, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. E. Huitt, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 2 days. Surviving are seven sons, Elbert, Charley, George, Pierce, Cleve, Lester and Guy Hutchings; four daughters, Mrs. J. E. Huitt, Mrs. C. Beckett, Mrs. Frank Boyer and Mrs. Lawrence Huitt. [3]
