Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, 11 June 1970, Cayuga Chief Chronical, Weedsport, Cayuga, NY, USA AUBURN—Joseph J. Hutchings, Sr., 77, of Bevier Road, died at Auburn Memorial Hospital early Thursday morning, June 4. He had suffered a heart attack at his home. He was employed at ALCO Products for 25 years before his retirement. Since that time he has been engaged in farming. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Clarence Lawson, Mrs. Donald Tryon, Mrs. Theodore Reardon, Mrs. Richard Fischer, Mrs. Robert J. Krause, Mrs . Michael Dagnesi, all of Auburn, a n d Mrs. Joseph E. Ryan of Binghamton; five sons, Joseph J. Hutchings of RD 1, Port Byron, James W. Hutchings, Donald R. Hutchings and Roger P. Hutchings of Auburn, and David E. Hutchings of Atatleboro, Mass. ; three sisters, Mrs. David Hamilton of Auburn and Mrs. Frederick Taylor of Syracuse, 39 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Avery E. Neagle Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Blocker of Sand Beach Church officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming.
